Galaxy Note 7 to return soon in South Korea

A report from South Korea’s ETNews stated that the said phone is going to make a comeback on its home country at the end of June this year, with a smaller price tag and of course, battery size. Hoping that it doesn’t explode, this time.

We’ve previously reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (a.k.a. “The Bomb”) is making its return on some markets in a refurbished state. However, from these reports, there are some important pieces of information that were missingthe price.

Now, a report from South Korea’s ETNews stated that the said phone is going to make a comeback on its home country at the end of June this year, with a smaller price tag and of course, battery size.

According to the report, it will carry a price tag of 700,000 KRW, or around Php 30.8k (on today’s exchange rate) from the official price of 988,900 KRW, or Php 43.5k.

We do remember that the Galaxy Note 7 was launched in the Philippines with a slightly lower price tag of Php39,990.

We cannot give an estimate of the Philippine pricing as of this moment, however, if this seems to be true, the Galaxy Note 7 might sell on our markets as low as Php27k (still expensive, imo).

Other than the price, Samsung have also reduced the battery size of the refurbished Note 7 down to 3,200mAh or 3,000mAh, from the original 3,500mAh, probably due to the result of their findings regarding the explosion of some Note 7’s.

Do not celebrate yet

But, there’s no word yet if this refurbished phone will be offered by Samsung itself on other markets aside from its home country as of this writing. We’ll update you with more details regarding the comeback of the Note 7 as soon as they have surfaced.
