Meizu, via their Twitter handle @MEIZU, announced their latest smartphone which is the first to be equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 7872 SoC and Cortex-A73 hexa-core processor.
As for the features, the Meizu M6s features a metal, sandblasted body, with 5.7-inch edge-to-edge HD+ display joining the 18:9 aspect ratio bandwagon, as well as 2.5D glass and thin bezels (which apparently makes it appropriate for 2018).
The specs ideally ties it to being a midranger, with Samsung’s Exynos 7872 SoC inside, Mali G71 GPU and a 3000mAh battery packed with fast charging rates (18W), which Meizu claims to last for 9.5 hours of video playback.
It’s also running Flyme OS 6.2 which is a skinned version of Android Nougat, as well as Meizu’s One Mind AI engine which promises improved performance and decreased power consumption.
The fingerprint sensor is placed on the side of the device, effectively making it accessible to only a few number of fingers, mostly thumb or index, just like with Razer Phone. Meizu also claims that you can unlock the phone using the fingerprint reader in just 0.2 seconds.

In terms of optics, there’s an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with facial enhancement technology, boasting image optimization algorithms from image-software maker ArcSoft. And on the rear there’s also a single 16MP Samsung CMOS sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
The company is also boasting Super mBack, which apparently appears to be their virtual assistant, and by implementing a pressure sensor below the display, the company effectively integrated all of its features in their ‘Halo’ home button.

The company also announced their new earphone, or what we classify as IEM (in-ear monitor), the Meizu Live.
