We don’t know what the heck the Chinese company is thinking, but seriously, if this rumor has basis, we’re excited for this!
Just days ago, Vivo has launched the Vivo X20 Plus UD smartphone in China with the Synaptics ClearID under-display fingerprint sensor.
Based on the recent leaks surfacing out on Chinese social networking site Weibo, it seems that the Vivo XPlay7 is slated to be the company’s next smartphone to use the said under-display fingerprint sensor.
It’s gorgeous, but a bit of a joke as well
In terms of aesthetics, the rumored XPlay7 is expected to sport an edge-to-edge display with 4K (3840×2160) screen resolution and 92.9% screen-to-body ratio. Under that gorgeous display, would be the aforementioned under-display fingerprint sensor from Synaptics.
The rumored device is also touted to be powered by the newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and will be paired with a whopping, ridiculously big 10GB of RAM (according to those leaked slides below). This would be the first mainstream smartphone to boast a 10GB RAM configuration in case this makes it to the market.
It is also supposed to be available in two variants, with 256GB and 512GB of internal storage, and colors such as black and pink (BLACKPINK, in your area?)
In terms of optics, the rumored XPlay7 is touted to sport a dual camera setup that will offer 4X lossless zoom. There’s also the FaceUnlock 2.0 for another form of security.
While we are eager to see this specifications become a reality, let’s remember that this is still just rumors around and take this with a grain of salt. However, we’ll keep you updated when new information with regards to this monstrous phone comes out.
