Samsung officially announces four new phones in the Galaxy line

And they’re called the S10, S10+ and S10E!

Samsung is finally shedding out the light to all the rumors and leaks of the past weeks by finally announcing the new Galaxy S10 handsets on its Unpacked event in San Francisco, California.

Four new handsets, the regular S10, S10 5G variant, the larger S10+ and the lower-end S10E (which appears to be the ‘lite’ version among the three) were announced.

Samsung brags about their new Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED display, which promises most accurate colors than the rest, which also supports HDR10+ standard and other features that would aid the users to unparalleled viewing comfort. The company also has what it claims the worlds’ first ultra-sonic on-screen fingerprint scanner on the S10 and the S10+, promises better performance than optical fingerprint scanners.

Specs-wise, the Galaxy S10 is powered by an Exynos 9820 7nm chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, as well as 3 rear cameras with varying angles and zoom levels, while on the other hand, the larger Galaxy S10+ comes in two configurations, one with either 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, and the other with an absolutely huge 12GB RAM and a terrabyte of storage.

The Galaxy S10E, on the other hand, was a stripped-out version of the S10 with some changes that are absolutely notable, such as the absence of on-screen fingerprint scanner in the place of a side-mounted one. However, it still maintains the other features of the S10.

Prices for the Galaxy S10 series would be: Galaxy S10E for ($749), the regular Galaxy S10 for ($899), the larger Galaxy S10+ for ($999) and the Galaxy S10 5G would be TBA.

Pre-order of the handsets in the Philippines will begin on February 22 until March 3, with the devices set to be publicly available at March 8.
